FRAMINGHAM — The Board of License Commissioners approved Taqueria Mexico's expansion into a corner unit at 40 Concord St. The 3-0 vote, with Commissioner Laura Medrano abstaining, adds a six-seat bar. Medrano questioned the $10 cover charge and dancing, and another commissioner urged the restaurant to explore a nightclub designation. The board then approved Gladys Lopez as manager 4-0.
Earlier, it approved a Whole Foods corporate restructuring at 575 Worcester Road and a hotel name change to Renaissance Framingham at 1657 Worcester Road, both 4-0. The board continued the Chef Louie's hearing to Aug. 10 after no one appeared; staff said a lease problem delayed the application filed in September 2025.
