Board of License Commission · Meeting of September 14, 2026
FRAMINGHAM — The Framingham Board of License Commissioners approved four separate manager and officer changes Monday, each by a 5-0 vote, affecting Margarita's Mexican Restaurant, BJ's Wholesale Club, BJ's Restaurant and Brew House, and Collector's Archive. Chair Stuart Pologe presided alongside commissioners Joseph Sturniolo, Laura Medrano, Alycia DeAngelis and Shannon McCullough. Sturniolo repeatedly flagged missing or expired Framingham police liquor identification cards, telling one applicant, "you're going to have to" renew hers before her license could issue, and conditioning the BJ's Restaurant and Brew House approval for Jacqueline Kenny on "approval and issuance of a Framingham police liquor ID." Margarita's saw Thomas Hanley promoted to manager, Julia Cichello named assistant manager, and Alan Winkley approved as treasurer, replacing Jonine Scott.
The board also voted 4-0, with Pologe abstaining because he missed that session, to accept the August 24, 2026 minutes. License Coordinator Michael Royce told the board 2027 alcohol renewal notices go out November 1.
