Board of License Commission · Meeting of August 24, 2026

FRAMINGHAM — The Framingham Board of License Commissioners approved four new business licenses Monday, with Chair Stuart Pologe absent for the entire meeting. The board voted 4-0 on four licenses, including a $50-a-year fortune teller license for therapist Nathaniel Joslin and a common victualer license for the restaurant chain Naya at Shoppers World, capped at 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. hours and 13 interior seats rather than the 23 requested. A member said of Naya's outdoor seating request, "I'm not quite sure that we've hit all the necessary approvals for that," and the board denied patio seating pending a further hearing.

The board also approved a one-vehicle livery license for an applicant identified only as Kingsley and a cafeteria license for Chef Louie's Inc. serving the Staples corporate campus. A separate 3-0 vote let the Beer Tap, DBA the Brass Tap, open at 9:30 a.m. on November 15 for a Patriots game, though alcohol service still could not begin before 10 a.m.
