Disability Commission · Meeting of May 27, 2026
FRAMINGHAM — The Disability Commission voted unanimously, 7-0, to send revised questions for a disability recycling center pass application to DPW and web staff. Highway and Sanitation Director Michael Hupfer said eligible residents would show a placard and proof of residency to get a numbered card in place of the vehicle sticker. Members dropped a temporary-or-ongoing question and made the accommodation request a yes-or-no item.
"Commission members shouldn't get it," one member said of the submitted forms, citing medical privacy. The commission voted to forward a Memorial Building accessible picnic table funding application to the City Council, and voted 7-0 to cap spending at $1,700 for interpreter and food costs at a July 9 library event. Payment for the pass remained unresolved.
