FRAMINGHAM — The Framingham Disability Commission approved $26,500 for Framingham United Soccer Club to fund American Sign Language interpreters for deaf players and approved $40,000 for police accessible-parking enforcement. Club president Brandon said the league "never turns any player away for financial need" and currently has three teams with deaf athletes. Lieutenant Curtis reported 128 parking violations issued under the prior grant, generating roughly double the revenue of the $20,000 awarded.
The commission re-elected Catherine Cuddy as chair and Tyler Terrasi as vice chair, and retained Dennis Moran as treasurer over outgoing member Susan Santone, who announced she will leave the board by year's end. A clerk election was tabled to October 21. ADA Coordinator David Correia reported 105 Irving Street "has ghosted" the state's Architectural Access Board, which still has not hired a compliance officer.
