CPC outlines FY27 grant rules for applicants

Community Preservation Committee · Meeting of July 16, 2026

Framingham's Community Preservation Committee briefed prospective applicants on its FY27 funding round. Community Preservation Coordinator Heather O'Donnell and Vice Chair Karen Margolis said eligibility forms are due September 1 and full applications October 29, 2026. O'Donnell said Framingham has funded 45 CPA projects totaling $10 million since adopting the 1 percent surcharge in November 2020.

Applications missing essential elements can be disqualified, while a waiver or 30-day extension requires a two-thirds committee vote. Presenters said applicants must meet with the coordinator and submit an actual cost estimate, and that non-city entities are paid on a reimbursement basis. No votes were taken.
