Framingham Posts Unofficial Primary Results For Governor, Senate Races

Framingham posted unofficial results from Tuesday's Massachusetts state primary, as voters citywide picked party nominees for governor, lieutenant governor, U.S. Senate and U.S. House.

The city published unofficial returns from the September 1 primary Tuesday night, capping a day in which Framingham voters weighed in on four statewide Democratic and Republican contests. Full unofficial tallies are posted on the city's website.

"MA State Primary 2026: Markey Repels Moulton, Minogue To Face Healey," Framingham Patch reported early Wednesday, a story the town's own News Flash also covered with its unofficial results posting. Sen. Ed Markey turned back a Democratic primary challenge from Rep. Seth Moulton, while Minogue emerged to face Gov. "ICE detainer issued for man accused in Framingham homicide," WCVB reported. Federal immigration authorities have lodged a detainer against Flavio Alcantara Dias, the man previously charged in a Framingham homicide case, according to the station (read it at https://www.wcvb.com/article/ice-detainer-framingham-homicide-suspect/73584734).
