Framingham DPW To Begin Sanitary Sewer Smoke Testing Aug. 20

The Framingham Department of Public Works will begin sanitary sewer smoke testing across town streets starting Aug. 20, the town announced Wednesday. The work comes as Framingham also marked its 325th anniversary this week with a new mural unveiling at the Memorial Building.

TOWN HALL

The Department of Public Works announced sanitary sewer smoke testing will begin Aug. 20, according to the town's News Flash bulletin. Smoke testing is a widely used maintenance method that pushes non-toxic smoke through underground sewer lines to help crews spot defects, leaks or illegal connections where the smoke surfaces.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

Framingham marked its 325th anniversary Wednesday evening with the unveiling of a new four-panel mural at the Memorial Building, created by four Framingham artists, a milestone the town's News Flash had previewed in recent days.
