Board of Health Proposes Fee Schedule Update, Sets Sept. 8 Hearing
Framingham's Board of Health has proposed an updated public health fee schedule and scheduled a public hearing for Tuesday, September 8, giving residents and businesses a chance to weigh in before any new rates take effect.

The Board of Health will hold its hearing on the proposed fee schedule at 7 p.m. on September 8 at the Memorial Building, according to a city announcement posted Sunday. The board has not released details on which specific fees would change, but the hearing gives residents and regulated businesses, including restaurants and other permit holders, a formal opportunity to comment before any update is adopted.
Separately, the city says Framingham remains at moderate risk for West Nile virus, an update to the mosquito-borne illness advisories the city has issued through the summer. Crews are also set to begin citywide tree pruning starting Monday, August 31, part of routine seasonal maintenance work. And the Framingham Cultural Council's grant application portal opens September 1, with local artists, schools and cultural organizations able to apply for funding through an October 15 deadline.
